M.A.E.S. Therapy International – Baby Course
Zagreb – March 2026

‘Early Intervention for Babies with Cerebral Palsy and Similar Neurodevelopmental Conditions’

A Great Success!   A wonderful course – fully booked.

22 MAES-trained paediatric neurodevelopmental therapists from 9 countries worldwide, came together in Zagreb for an outstanding week of advanced learning, clinical reasoning, and professional exchange, deepening their MAES Therapy knowledge and practical skills in relation to early intervention for babies.

The course brought together a warm, open, and highly engaged group of professionals who were supportive of one another, encouraging in their discussions, and importantly, open to new ideas and change. It was also a valuable opportunity to strengthen international connections and build closer professional relationships within the MAES Therapy community worldwide.

Alongside the intensive learning, participants also enjoyed time together outside the course, making space for socialising, friendship, and celebration.

Our sincere thanks go to our friends at Mali Dom for hosting us so warmly, and especially to Director Tatjana Petrović for her continued support.

Special thanks also to MAES Team Croatia & Serbia, and in particular to Jasminka Gagula, Paediatric Physiotherapist, who organised the participation of the 9 babies involved in the practical sessions and workshops.

A few examples of wonderful feedback following the course:

“MAES Therapy Baby Course is an amazing adventure! You develop your skills in observation of babies, to recognise and pick up things where they need a support early, when there are still not many compensations in place. This course also, more than any other, focuses on parents- understanding where they come from, listening to them, and supporting them by helping them with their baby.”

Joanna Brudlo-Semeniuk
Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Physiotherapist
MAES Therapist – UK

“It’s amazing to see how the M.A.E.S. principles are applied when we treat babies. The principles are the same as with children, as we are still treating the brain, not the symptoms, but recognizing the subtle signs and basing your treatment on the foretell, so that you can prevent before certain issues happen. It is truly invaluable! “

Nika Fuketa, Paediatric Physiotherapist
MAES Therapist – Croatia

“I would highly recommend the Baby Course because it gave us insight into where everything begins. Babies, in a subtle yet very clear way, show us how we truly think, whether we are in conflict with ourselves, and whether we are in the right place. They are a clearer reflection of us.”

Marija Maras Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Physiotherapist
MAES Therapist – Croatia

“MAES therapy courses are for those who don’t want to stop learning!! Every course is different! Each baby course provides new opportunities to develop skills further and is full of invaluable information, discussions and insights into early intervention for children with neurodisabilities.”

Carey Perkins Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Physiotherapist
MAES Therapist – UK

“This course has helped me to understand MAES Therapy with a new depth and sensitivity. MAES Therapy is a holistic approach and a Baby Course really helps you to investigate all aspects; from noticing subtle changes in a baby’s quality to understanding the dynamics within families to understanding how we can influence a baby’s trajectory. This this course helps you to be more sensitive in your analysis, understanding  and approach to the treatment of babies with CP and similar neurodevelopmental conditions.”
